My precious little niece turns two years old in February. She’s a girl after my own heart as she has recently developed an obsession with dogs, too! Last time I saw her, we spent 30 minutes looking at pictures of puppies on my iPhone. Watching her reaction to each new picture was one of the sweetest things I have ever witnessed. Something tells me we both could have gone on that way for hours had bed time not rolled around when it did.

Unfortunately, like me, she doesn’t have a dog of her own and she wants one very, very badly. Just like me. So, for her birthday I’ve decided that I want to get her a few doggie books to help satisfy her craving.

I have one in mind already that KRock showed me. It’s called, appropriately enough, Dog and it’s by Matthew Van Fleet and Brian Stanton. As soon as I saw it I fell in love, and instantly knew that my niece would love it, too.

I’m looking for a few more children’s dog books that I can send her. Do you have any recommendations for dog books that a two year old dog-obsessed toddler would enjoy? Did you have any dog books that you loved when you were little? I’d love to get some ideas from you in the next few days so that I can place my order and get it off in the mail to my niece.

Thanks in advance for your input!
